Scotchgard™ Fabric & Carpet Protection

What Is Scotchgard™ Fabric Protection?

Scotchgard™ is a protective treatment designed to help fabrics resist spills, stains, and everyday soiling.

After professional cleaning, the protector is applied to suitable carpet or upholstery fibers. Once properly applied and dried, it helps create a protective barrier without changing the normal appearance of the material.

Instead of allowing a spill to immediately penetrate deep into the fibers, fabric protection can give you additional time to blot and clean the affected area.

Upholstery Fabric Protection

Sofas, sectionals, dining chairs, and other upholstered furniture are exposed to everyday use, food, drinks, body oils, pets, and accidental spills.

Adding upholstery fabric protection after professional cleaning can help protect your freshly cleaned furniture and make future maintenance easier.

Fabric protection may be suitable for:

  • Sofas and couches
  • Sectional sofas
  • Loveseats
  • Dining chairs
  • Armchairs
  • Upholstered benches
  • Ottomans
  • Other compatible upholstered furniture

Before applying a protector, we consider the fabric type and condition to determine whether the treatment is appropriate.

Carpet Protection

Carpets in busy homes can quickly collect dirt and stains, especially in hallways, living rooms, stairs, entrances, and other high-traffic areas.

Professional carpet protection helps create an additional barrier on suitable carpet fibers after deep cleaning.

This can help reduce the penetration of everyday spills and make it easier to maintain your carpet between professional cleanings.

Carpet protection can be particularly useful for:

  • High-traffic areas
  • Living rooms
  • Hallways
  • Bedrooms
  • Carpeted stairs
  • Homes with children
  • Homes with pets

How Fabric Protection Is Applied

Fabric protection is generally applied after the carpet or upholstery has been professionally cleaned.

The process may include:

  1. Professional cleaning of the carpet or upholstery
  2. Thorough extraction of dirt and cleaning residue
  3. Application of fabric or carpet protector to suitable fibers
  4. Allowing the treated surface to dry properly

We apply protection according to the type and condition of the material and provide instructions for drying and using the treated surface afterward.
